Building The Family Photo Museum
Legoland 2000
Posted Jan 22 2010

I came up with the idea of the Family Photo Museum some years ago. Until now it has been nothing more than a collection of Windows folders containing groups of digital photos or scanned-in photos from the various family collections. What's always been needed is structure and organization and even planning. So I'm re-launching the project on the web over the next few months and seeking collaborators in an attempt to inject some order. As I start to pull together the contents, I will post random photos I'm cataloguing here on the blog. To start with I have recovered some photos from the year 2000.

The year 2000 was our fourth year living in Bracknell, Berkshire and one of the best family treats available to us during that year was the easy access to Legoland, Windsor, little more than a couple of miles away from our house. So, we got a family season pass and went as often as we could and as you can see from this photo and the photos that will follow in the next few days, the kids loved it.

Here Nathan and Jordan are riding the train. They might tell you that in fact they were driving the train. For added cuteness, I love the little wave from Jordan a la Casey Jones. And if you don't know who Casey Jones is and you're clearly not an old fogey like me, take a look here. Huh...there is no wave. Shows how memory plays tricks on you - I could have sworn he always waved in that intro!
